About Us

SELENE CASTROVILLA is the author of Saved By The Music and The Girl Next Door as well as several historical picture books. She holds an MFA in creative writing from New School University and a BA in English from New York University. Selene always knew she was a writer, but some of her subjects have come as a surprise. Above all, she aims to tell the truth in her books, and to be the change she wishes to see in the world. She lives on Long Island with her two sons.








KAREN DELLECAVA, author of A Closer Look, earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Montclair State University and attended New School University for courses in writing for children. She currently works part time as a yearbook consultant for the elementary and middle school market in North Jersey. She lives in North Jersey with her husband and their two sons.

JOE LUNIEVICZ has taught stage fencing to actors at HB Studio in NYC and performed improvisational comedy. He drew on his experiences as a fight choreographer, playwright, and competitive fencer in writing Open Wounds, his debut novel. He lives in New York City with his wife and son.













SHARI MAURER went to undergrad at Duke University, grad school at NYU and then traveled the world working on international versions of Sesame Street. She is the co-author of The Parents' Guide to Children's Congenital Heart Defects and the author of the YA novel, Change of Heart. Shari lives in New City, NY with her three children and husband and currently writes a Moms' Talk column for the New City Patch.
